“The Saint Paul Art Crawl will come to galleries in Saint Paul’s Wards 1, 3 and 4 April 10-12. The spring event will move to Ward 2 April 17-19. Its final weekend April 24-26 will involve venues in Wards 5, 6 and 7. The art crawl’s first weekend will include the Virginia Street Church, 170 Virginia St., which plans to host 17 artists, live music and food from 6-10 p.m. Friday, April 10; noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 11; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 12. The second weekend includes 20 artists providing paintings, graphic tees, pieces made from discarded pop culture items and other artwork at Union Depot from 5-9 p.m. Friday, April 17; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 18; and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 19. The Schmidt Artist Lofts Brewhouse, 900 W. Seventh St., will host more than 80 artists and works from the 45th Annual MN 4 Congressional High School Art Competition sponsored by U.S. Representative Betty McCollum during the second weekend. Coffee and food trucks will be available. Hours at the brewhouse are 6-9 p.m. April 17, noon to 7 p.m. April 18 and noon to 5 p.m. April 19. F-O-K Studios, 106 W. Water St., will participate the second weekend as well, with hours from 6-9 p.m. April 17, noon to 8 p.m. April 18 and noon to 5 p.m. April 19. Rep. Betty McCollum said she would be ‘very skeptical about flat-out supporting’ a request for $200 billion.

‘We still haven't gotten a full plan on how the Pentagon is planning on spending the money that they have,’ she said. ‘The President chose on his own to go to war with Iran and spend very expensive munitions, and then turns around and says to Congress: ‘Oh, here's the bill’. That's not how it works.’

McCollum added the war is costing the U.S. a lot, both at home and abroad. ‘American lives have been lost, as well as our reputation,’ she said.

Raising concerns about the rationale provided by the Trump Administration in regards to the war, McCollum argued the justification has thus far changed ‘day to day.’”
